Water Distribution Crew Leader
General Statement of Duties:
Supervises and assists other department personnel in repairing and installing water lines.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- General management principles
- Water line management principles, practices, procedures, and safety codes
- Budgeting principles and procedures
- Standard office practices and procedures
- Build, maintain, and repair water lines
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the general public
- Develop, organize, motivate, and effectively utilize staff
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Read and interpret manuals, policies, and other documents.
Required Experience and Training:
High school graduation or its equivalent plus two years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Required Certificates and Licenses:
Valid Class C Texas driver’s license; Class C wastewater certificate and Class C water certificate.

Water Technician

Operates various equipment and assists with various duties involved in and the maintenance and construction of city water system components.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Water system principles, practices, procedures, and safety codes;
- Standard office practices and procedures.
- Build, maintain, and repair water lines
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the general public
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Read and interpret manuals, policies, and other documents.

High school graduation or its equivalent plus one year of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
