ORDINANCE 24-L AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING, CONFIRMING, APPROVING, VALIDATING AND AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF CERTAIN TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNS WITHIN THE CITY OF GRANITE SHOALS: PROVIDING SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRANITE SHOALS, TEXAS: Stops signs and speed limit signs are herby authorized, confirmed, ratified and validated so as to control vehicular traffic on the public streets listed below, such signs to be authorized, confirmed, ratified and validated as fully as they had been placed and maintained at such location pursuant to this Ordinance. SECTION ONE: ADDING STOP SIGNS 3-Way Stop Signs at the intersections of Prairie Creek Road and Sherwood Forest Drive. SECTION TWO: ADDING TWO SPEED LIMIT AND INFORMATION SIGNS “20 MPH CHILDREN AT PLAY” Signs on Green Forest Drive at intersection of Green Forest Drive and East Granite Castle Drive and at the intersection of Green Forest Drive and Forest Hills Drive. SECTION THREE: REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES Any provision or portion of any ordinance in conflict with this ordinance is hereby repealed as to that conflict only. SECTION FOUR: SEVERABILITY Should any word, phrase, sentence, paragraph or portion of this ordinance be determined by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid for any reason then in that event such invalidity shall not affect the remaining portions of the Ordinance which shall remain enforceable. SECTION FIVE: EFFECTIVE DATE This ordinance shall become effective upon the passage, approval, and adoption in accordance with state law. PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED THIS 13th DAY OF January, 2004 |
