City is accepting bids for Outdoor Park Recreation Center - Phase I work

ADVERTISEMENT OF INVITATION TO BID

The City of Granite Shoals has received an Outdoor Recreation Grant #50-000484 from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to repurpose an existing abandoned steel frame stone cutting facility as a multi-purpose sports facility.  Phase One of the project provides for repairs to provide for the structural integrity of the structural steel and roof of the existing building.  Separate invitations will be issued for Phase 2 for the repairs to the floor of the building and Phase Three for the installation of the recreational improvements at a later date.

Bid documents are available from Ms. Elaine Simpson, City Secretary, at 2221 N. Phillips Ranch Road, Granite Shoals, Texas 78654 by calling (830) 598-2424 or may be requested via e-mail at citysecretary@graniteshoals.org.

Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes and marked “ Phase One – Structural Integrity”. 

Submit sealed bids, in envelopes, to  The City of Granite Shoals, Elaine Simpson -City Secretary, 2221 N. Phillips Ranch Road, Granite Shoals, Texas   78654  for Phase One - structural integrity repairs.  Bids must be received no later than 3:00 p.m., July 12, 2018 to be considered.  NO electronic submission will be accepted. 

Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 3:00 p.m. on July 12, 2018.  The City of Granite Shoals reserves the right to negotiate with any and all submitters of bids, according the Office of Management and Budget Circular A-102.   A bid security of 5% of the bid amount is required.  The low bidder will be required to furnish a payment bond and a performance bond prior to execution of construction contract.  Prevailing Wage Rates are required to be paid on this project.

The City will not be responsible for any costs incurred in submitting a response.

              No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of opening thereof.
