The City of Granite Shoals could not run without the help of our many volunteers. We are grateful for every citizen who donates time, energy, and expertise to serve on our many Commissions, Committees, and Groups. The Planning and Zoning Commission, Ethics Review Commission, and Board of Adjustments are statutorily required bodies that function in accordance with state law and follow structures similar to those in other Texas municipalities.
Membership requires that individuals be residents of Granite Shoals or property owners within the city. All appointments are made by the City Council.
All city boards, commissions, and committees operate in compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, ensuring transparency and public access to the decision-making process.
